about
Thank you for being here in my virtual studio! I love truly seeing our world and the people in it. I especially love coastal marshlands, barefoot beach life, vintage Miami, the Everglades, old houses, Martha’s Vineyard, and promoting the conservation of wild spaces.
I enjoy collaborating on projects and I am obsessed with the way art can elevate the energy of your spaces—and in turn your life.
A mom to three wild boys, I raised them on a sailboat when they were babies and this spirit of freedom and love of nature is something I try to keep present in our life and my work as an artist today. We love to spend as much time together in the outdoors as possible—hiking, swimming, sailing, spray-painting in the backyard…all the things.
My studio is in Miami, but our hearts are somewhere in between here, Stowe and Martha’s Vineyard, places we try to get back to as often as possible.
artist bio
Lily is a 7th generation Floridian born in Miami in 1981. Her work is Martha’s Vineyard meets Miami, laid-back vacation meets tropical city, evocative of barefoot days, sunshine, beaches and outdoor living year-round. She is deeply connected to the natural beauty of wild Florida, and loves to show the true and often underappreciated natural side of the state. In her work she interweaves these themes with a coastal New England style, thanks to her adopted home of Martha’s Vineyard, the site of her first ever art studio.
Lily’s work is held in private collections across America, Canada, and in Europe, Australia, and Hong Kong. She has had solo exhibitions in Boston and on Martha’s Vineyard and has been featured in Artsy, Superfine! Art Show, Voyage Miami, All SHE MAKES Magazine, The Vineyard Gazette, HGTV, Cape Cod Life Magazine, House and Garden, and is on the Create Magazine, The Art Queens, and All She Makes international artist directories. When not painting she can generally be found on or in the water, adventuring with her boys.
